Tall Bearded Iris - Immortality

Introduced in 1982, Immortality is a vintage garden classic with the timeless beauty of an old bridal portrait. Its softly ruffled flowers are clean, luminous white, finished with delicate veining and a pale lemon-yellow beard. Elegant without being extravagant, it mingles easily with almost anything in the garden - soft pastels, saturated jewel tones, or an entirely white planting.

While many irises are described as rebloomers, Immortality has genuinely produced a second flush for us here at Field Notes, flowering again in the fall after its main spring display. It also carries a lovely sweet fragrance, giving gardeners more than one reason to lean in close.

Rebloom varies with climate, plant maturity, moisture, and growing conditions and cannot be guaranteed every year. Still, its proven fall performance on our Ontario farm makes Immortality an especially promising choice for northern gardens.

This hardy perennial returns year after year, forming a larger and more impressive clump as it becomes established.
